# WYBOT S2 Vision Maintenance Guide
## Keep your WYBOT S2 Vision performing reliably with a simple routine: clean it after every use, keep key parts dry and clear, and store it correctly between cleanings.
After every use
1. **Power off the cleaner.**
2. **Open the top cover.**
3. **Remove the filter basket and cotton foam.**
4. **Empty debris and rinse both parts with clean water.**
5. **Reinstall the filter basket and cotton foam.**
6. **Close the cover securely.**
Key maintenance tips
### Keep the filter clean
Clean the filter basket after every use. A blocked filter can reduce cleaning performance, affect wall climbing, and lead to incomplete coverage.
If the pool water is heavily soiled, do not install the cotton foam. The manual notes that it may affect operation.
### Protect the camera
- Keep the front camera clean and free from scratches.
- Remove the factory sticker before using Dirt Hunting mode.
- A dirty camera can reduce vision-based cleaning performance.
### Keep the charging port dry
- Dry the charging port after each cleaning cycle.
- Make sure the cleaner is powered off before charging.
- Do not charge the cleaner while it is running.
Charging and storage
### Charging
- Charge before first use.
- Charge when the battery is low.
- Do not overcharge.
- Keep the cleaner at least 10 ft. from the pool edge while charging.
- Charge in temperatures between **32°F and 95°F (0°C to 35°C)**.
If the yellow light flashes, charge the cleaner immediately.
### Long-term storage
If you will store the cleaner for an extended period:
1. **Power it off.**
2. **Dry the cleaner and filter basket.**
3. **Fully charge the battery.**
4. **Store it in a cool, ventilated place.**
5. **Keep it away from direct sunshine, heat, frost, and crushing pressure.**
6. **Recharge it every three months.**
The recommended storage temperature is **41°F to 113°F (5°C to 45°C)**.
Safe operating conditions
Use the cleaner only in these water conditions:
- **Chlorine:** max 4 mg/L
- **pH:** 7.0 to 7.8
- **Water temperature:** 41°F to 95°F (5°C to 35°C)
- **NaCl:** max 5000 PPM
For best performance, keep water depth at least **19.5 in (50 cm)** above the top of the cleaner.
Troubleshooting checks
Before requesting service, check these common maintenance issues:
- **Poor wall climbing:** Clean the filter basket.
- **Partial cleaning:** Recheck the cleaning mode in the Wybot App and update firmware.
- **Unexpected pathing:** Clean the filter basket and check for obstacles or drains.
- **Charging issue:** Re-plug the charger and confirm good contact.
